Priesthood Anointing
The Lord spoke to my wife Apostle Estella Bacon. And said that I Apostle Chevelle Bacon carries a strong Priesthood Anointing.
By “Priesthood Anointing,” I understand the Lord to be identifying a grace and authority He places on my life for service—an impartation that is not about title or personal importance, but about responsibility. It is a summons to represent Him well, to carry His heart for people, and to minister in a way that brings Him honor.
A teaching clarity (what it is)
In Scripture, a priest is one who is set apart to draw near to God and to serve on behalf of others. In New Covenant terms, that includes living consecrated, offering spiritual sacrifices (worship, prayer, obedience, generosity), and standing in intercession. So this anointing points to (1) nearness to God, (2) representation, and (3) responsibility—carrying myself as someone entrusted with holy things.
Priestly functions (what it looks like)
I expect this to show up as a consistent burden for prayer and intercession; spiritual covering for my house and those God assigns; discernment (hearing and responding to the Holy Spirit); and a ministry that helps people turn toward the Lord, be healed, be delivered, and be built up in holiness. It also includes guarding what is sacred protecting the atmosphere, maintaining reverence, and refusing mixtures.
Scripture anchors (what it agrees with)
“You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood…” (1 Peter 2:9). “In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation” (Galatians 6:15)—meaning the mark is a transformed life. “Present your bodies a living sacrifice…” (Romans 12:1). “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16). “Be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). These remind me that priestly authority is carried through consecration, not charisma.
Implications for my calling and character (what it demands)
This word calls me to deeper holiness, integrity, and maturity—private purity, faithful stewardship, and a life that matches what I declare. It also calls me to humility and order: to stay submitted to God, to honor my wife and our shared assignment, to avoid striving for recognition, and to let fruit and faithfulness speak louder than titles. If this is truly from the Lord, it will produce measurable fruit: increased love, greater restraint, clearer discernment, stronger compassion, and courage to confront darkness without compromise.
Stewardship (next steps)
I will (1) pray and ask the Lord to confirm and clarify the scope of this anointing; (2) search the Scriptures and let the Word set the boundaries for how I understand it; (3) fast and consecrate afresh where needed; (4) seek wise, godly counsel for accountability and alignment; and (5) commit to consistent intercession for my wife, my family, and those God sends. I want to carry this with reverence—so that my life becomes an altar, and my ministry becomes a trustworthy place for God’s presence.
